Description of Programme

Learn about our early Indian Immigrants and how they shaped the main Singapore Culture in terms of Architecture, Arts, and Lifestyle. Understand the importance of Indian Cultural Crafts and Festivals. The Tour will re-introduce the first Urban Planning for Singapore, the Jackson Town Plan, and look at the movement of Early Indian Immigrants to Little India. Then, we will look at the evolution of Trades and appreciate the Blood, Sweat and Tears of our forefathers to build a solid foundation for the present day Singapore. We will then look at how the diversity of Little India aligned to today’s Multi-Culturalism in a Sustainable Cosmopolitan City.

Terms and Conditions

1. The Guided Walking Tour will proceed regardless of the weather. Ponchos could be arranged prior based on request.

2. Tour will be conducted in a Round-Robin format if more than 40 pax is expected.

3. This programme can be done in an 'Amazing Race' format. However, a minimum lead time of 1 month will be required.

4. The use of 'Whatsapp' may be required.

5. If unit would like to arrange for prizes, a minimum lead time of 1 month will be required.
