Description of Programme
In this seminar "WW2 and The Fall of Singapore" we will delve into the pivotal Malayan Campaign, starting from the Japanese forces' landing in Kota Bahru to the eventual surrender of Singapore. This seminar will offer a detailed exploration of the personalities, tactics, and planning that defined this traumatic period in Singapore's history. We will also highlight the heroic actions of individuals who stood against overwhelming odds. By examining these historical events, we aim to draw out important lessons that remain relevant for Singapore today. Discover how the strategies and decisions made during this time continue to influence our approach to defence and resilience. This seminar is not just a history lesson but an opportunity to reflect on the enduring impact of these events on modern Singapore.
Mr. C. Cher is the owner and operator of Battlefield Tours, which specializes in tours focused on the military aspects of the Malayan Campaign in Singapore and Malaya.
