Description of Programme
This cycling tour ""Retracing History"" explores the southern half of the Rail Corridor in Singapore, commencing near the old Tanjong Pagar Railway Station and exploring and viewing the sights along the old railway line to Malaysia, passing diverse landscapes and historic landmarks. Cyclists are immersed in a tapestry of scenic landscapes, from lush greenery and towering trees to open spaces and quaint neighbourhoods. It covers housing in Singapore from different periods, light industrial parks and modern housing estates. They will also encounter historical landmarks and remnants of the railway's legacy, such as the distinctive truss bridges, rustic railway crossings, and old station platforms. These remnants serve as poignant reminders of Singapore's railway history, adding depth and character to the ride.
